BBD reviews and countersigns it, which is what puts the agreement into effect. - ### Get your code & link Once countersigned, you’re emailed your own reference code, a personal referral link with a QR code, and a sign-in to your Associate page. - ### Make connections Share your link, or hand out your code, to property owners, builders, contractors, realtors, and businesses that need engineering or sealed drawings. - ### Get paid Earn 5% of the project value on every project from a client you introduced, first and repeat, paid within 45 days of the client’s payment. No. Marketing Associates are independent contractors. You set your own hours, work from anywhere, and are responsible for your own taxes. The Company does not withhold taxes or dues on your behalf. ### When and how do I get paid? Your 5% commission on each project is payable no later than 45 days after BBD receives the client’s payment on that project. Repeat and residual projects earn the same 5%. You can be paid by direct deposit or by check to your mailing address. A completed W-9 must be on file before any commission is released. ### When do I get my reference code? As soon as BBD countersigns your agreement, which usually takes a business day or two. Signing reserves a code for you; countersigning issues it. You’ll get an email with the code, your referral link, and a sign-in link to your Associate page. ### What is the reference code and why does it matter? Your unique reference code is how every job is credited to you. Either you or the client must get it to BBD at or before our first contact with the client: through your referral link (automatic), by picking your name on our contact form, or by typing the code. No code on file at that point means no commission is payable on that job, so always share your link. ### What does my Associate page show? Your code and link, a QR code you can print on cards, every referral credited to you with its status, and each commission as it is earned, due and paid. It never shows a client’s contact details. ### Do I need an engineering background? No. You make the introduction and pass the potential client’s information to our staff. BBD’s licensed engineers handle the scoping, design, and delivery. We also supply brochures, business cards, and a company email address to support you. ### Where do I work from? Anywhere that suits you. There is no set location or schedule. If you’d like a desk at our Winter Haven office, one can be made available. ### What if I want to stop? Either party can end the agreement at any time with a minimum of 7 days’ advance notice. There’s no penalty and no long-term obligation.
